Before I started photographing weddings professionally, I spent many years working as a director – learning to carefully craft a narrative and explain big ideas. That same care and attention to detail shapes how I work on a wedding day: calm, polite and unobtrusive. Whether it’s a grand hall or a quiet garden, I’m watching for the glance, the gesture, the bit of the day nobody planned but everyone will remember. Every wedding is a different film; I’m just there to make sure it gets shot properly.
